Join the watercolor workshop and you will see a demonstration each day on site, helpful tips as you get started, and a group critique at the end of each day. Ned Reade will demonstrate first thing in the morning at any of the many picturesque spots on the island. He and Ann Howes will work through the day to help you from sketch to finished painting. Both professional Island artists are well-known and take their own painting seriously. Intermediate and Advanced artists will learn the basics of how to paint en plein air with plenty of supportive artists in the group willing to share their experiences.
Ann is a signature member of the prestigious American Watercolor Society and has led workshops throughout Europe and the eastern US. Ned paints in rural Vermont and NY, and has spent his career teaching drawing, painting, and art history. Both artists are established members of the Martha's Vineyard Art Association, exhibiting their works at Old Sculpin Gallery.
