Watercolor Workshop 2024 with Ned Reade!

Dates: August 6, 7, & 8 (Tuesday through Thursday)
Time: 9:00 am- 3:30 pm each day ON LOCATION
Cost: $250 for the three day workshop or $100 per day

Integral to the mission of the Martha’s Vineyard Art Association is the on-going education program which include this watercolor workshop for adults. Join the watercolor workshop and you will benefit from a demonstration each day on site, helpful tips as you get started, and a group critique at the end of each day.

Ned paints in rural Vermont and New York and has spent his career teaching drawing, painting, and art history.  His work is well known to visitors to the Old Sculpin Gallery, and can be seen here as well as his own website.

General info

The workshop takes place over the course of three days but you may sign up for any one of the three if you'd like. A 50% deposit is due upon registration. The complete workshop is priced at $250 and each individual day is $100. You are expected to bring your own materials, but easels are available upon request.

Daily activities

Ned will start each morning with a live demonstration and be available through the day to help you move from sketch to finished painting. Intermediate and Advanced artists will learn something each day from Ned’s instruction and Beginning artists will learn the basics of how to paint “en plein air” with plenty of supportive artists in the group willing to share their experiences.
